Photo of the day 9-15-09 Panasonic LX 3

This past Labor Day weekend at the North Fork of Long Island. I still find it hard to believe that vinifera grapes can be grown there with such success. Years ago, when I first saw the Long Island vineyards, I almost cried. I found it very moving to be living on the same island where wine grapes could grow.

Photo of the day 9-14-09 Canon 20D

There's no place like the Brooklyn Botanic Garden at any day of the year. This is especially true on a winter day. Taken in early January of 2008 with the Canon 20D and the Canon 16-35 2.8 L.
