This may be the last time to see this splendor this year.

Have a wonderful weekend

Believe it or not, this image is from Central Park

Very sad

Image
Going through my scanned slides, I found this Kodachrome scan from the early seventies sahot in the South Street Seaport area while development was going on. It is a very sad image of situations that really should have never existed but still do.

The Walter K Hoerning Fund

Image
The Walter K Heorning fund was established to enrich the life of inner city black boys both scholastically ans artistically. It pays for enrichment programs for interest boys. Each year the children who take music lessons show their progress at the Brooklyn Conservatory, Here is one child who played very carefully but  was elated at the end. They show how seriously the boys take the programs they participate in.

I love this city

Image
When everything fails, in Manhattan you just point the camera upwards and you get the shot.

Breezy Point

Image
This private community in Queens is a most unusual community. You would never guess you were in New York City if you didn't know better. Hurricane Sandy had a very negative impact on this sea side community. These images are of things the way they were before the devastation. However there much rebuilding going on and much optimism.

The American fantasy

Image
In the fifties, cars were objects of pure fantasy. Form did not follow function but was an object of imagination. Cars resembled planes, space ships and even boats. These machines still draw large crowds at shows and they make great pictures.
