     Just beautiful fall colors.

The galleria Vittorio Emanuele in Milan. You can step out to the great Piazza del Duomo or on the other end you can see La Scale theater. The best brands of Italian high-quality stores can be found here along with classic caffe' bars. Just spectacular.

The view from our window at our hotel in Siena, Tuscany. Just spectacular

Farfalle pasta with vegan Kidney beans. A staple of southern Italian cuicine. Delicious and healthy

Cape Cod, Massachusetts off season on an overcast April morning. Do I have spring fever already? You be the judge.
Image
A simple and delicious dish appropriate for this season: penne rigate with butternut squash and pancetta. Shaved grana padana completed the dish.

New York Harbor on the day the Statue of Liberty was re opened after it's restoration. It was back in 1986 and the 100th anniversary of " The Lady in the Harbor". I shot it with a Nikon FTn and the 135mm F 2.8 Nikkor from the Brooklyn Bridge. The Manhattan Bridge and the Empire State building are in the background

A good idea for a brunch
Image
Another dish that looks Chinese but in actuality is a staple of Italian cuisine. Spaghetti with sausage, broccoli and mushrooms. I omitted peas and toasted breadcrumbs A much lighter dish better suited for lunch.
Image
This is not Kyoto but a replica of its famous pebbles garden that was in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden but was razed in order to make a ridiculous children's garden that is hardly ever used. But I shot this image in the early seventies with a Nikon FTn and the 50mm F 1,$ Nikkor lens. The film was Ektachrome-X.

A stew made with calamari, potatoes in a light tomato sauce. Delightful.

Florence, Tuscany. The Arno River at dusk

My version of fusion. Pot roast with homemade mash potatoes and sauteed string beans in a garlic and tomato sauce like it's done in Puglia, Italy. A filling and delicious meal.

Remember when it was so cool to smoke? This street photography image was made with a Nikon FTn and a 35mm F 2.8 Nikkor lens. The location is Bed Stuy Brooklyn in the late seventies. This area has been since gentrified for the benefits of the so-called hipsters.

Classic boscaiola or pasta from the woods or forest. It's a pasta in a sauce of mushrooms, sausage and peas. It's a delicious and filling luncheon choice.

I consider this my best fall foliage shot. It was made on a Fuji DSLR that used a cheap Nikon SLR body, but I could use all my Nikkor lenses. The sensor had a multiplication factor of 1.5 and the resolution was 3.4 megabytes. Yet the output was phenomenal with colors reminiscent of the old Kodachrome II. It was my first DSLR.

     Homemade pignoli cookies, just delicious.

TANGO IN PARIS   These dancers were performing at the foot of Montmartre in Paris, They put up ome show.

Selinunte is an old Greek city in Western Sicily that was destroyed by the Carthaginians. Some of the ruins have been sort of restored as best as possible but this archeological part is famous for the countless ruins. It's worth a visit.

Nothing fills you as a plate of potato gnocchi. These are imported Italian De Cecco gnocchi in a butter and fresh rosemary. Simple and delicious.
