TIPA Award Winners for 2012 Annunced This is a yearly event when the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) votes on the best of the best products for the year. Same procedure this year as the 2012 winners in each of 40 categories have been announced. DSLRs are divided into different categories. In the entry level, the Nikon D5100 won while Nikon's D800 won the expert category. Canon won the other two DSLR categories having the best pro DSLR - the EOS-1D X - and the best DSLR for video - the EOS 5D Mark III. No surprise here.
