A truly wonderful man

Image
The type of photography I did allowed me to meet some wonderful and famous people. This is a photo of Pavarotti during a cocktail reception at the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan. I was working for an Italian paper and prime minister Spadolni of Italy was being honored. This being 1976, it is before he was propelled to super stardom. He was truly a celebrity. we spoke briefly and found a truly down to earth man. I shall never forget that evening.

I love this image

Dating back to 1972, this shot of a barber shop on Hoyt Street in Brooklyn, was made on a snowy day with a Nikonos II underwater camera that I used on very bad weather days. I absolutely love the results. Sometimes everything works.

Nothing can replace the World Trade Center. It left an great void. This shot dates from the eighties and was shot on Tri- X Pan. I do not recall which camera I used.

The main entrance to the baglio or the interior court where the homes all had their main entrances. This afforded protection to the inhabitants.
