Paris, notre chère, nous sommes tous avec toi

Image
This is not a political post but in view of the brutality committed against the world's most beautiful city I must sate that we stand with you dear Paris.

Remenbering the great one

Image
One of the great pleasures of this type of work is that it allows one to meet interesting people. Today these people are called celebrities but it's a term used loosely and has lost it's meaning just as the word hero has. To me Pavarotti was above a celebrity; he was the great one. While photographing him at an event at the Plaza, I found him very personable, engaging and modest. All qualities of a great person. If you must know, the camera was the Nikon F with the Nikkor 105 F2.5 and the film was my trusted Tri-X Pan.

Birth of an ice sculpture

Image
Back at the Ice Works factory in Lakeville, PA. Here we see an actual ice sculpture being made. Very cool!

Just a tease

Someone posted on Facebook that in 75 days it will be spring. So I'm just teasing you with this  tulip that I shot in my backyard last spring. Enjoy.

Very early digital

Image
This was shot in 2010 with the Nikon Coolpix 990, my very first digital camera and the one that hooked me on digital photography. I have never looked back.

Happy anniversary

We are celebrating our sixth year with our delightful Charlie a  Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog. A really wonderful companion. We love him dearly.
