His love of life, good food, sports, literature, and all around good living with superb taste in clothes and all accessories make one wonder why the rest of the world is not of the same persuasion. In Italy, for example, eating is a serious art. We had a meal that featured baby lamb. One would think that this were a simple matter. Not really. Getting the lamb became a serious business as only the lamb from Sardinia was deemed acceptable and many butcher shops had to be queried until the right one was found. I will not elaborate on the wine selection as it would take too much time. The amazing thing is that the people with whom I shared this wonderful meal were not rich; they were all middle class persons. Needless to say I cannot wait to return in July.
