Saturday in the park

Yes indeed, a Saturday in Central park, Manhattan, in the early seventies. This is before the technology that made everybody insular but connected yet unable to interact on a human scale. In other words, when people talked to each other and interacted with one another. They were also more aware of  what was around them These are 135 Kodachrome II slides that were scanned.

Under the I 495

This is an industrial area under Interstate 495 in Queens, NYC. In it's industrial  unsightliness it has it's charm at least from a photographic point of view. What can I say.

Back to reality

This is what it will look like after the latest storm hits the New York area and the entire north east. Nasty winter.

Thinking of summer

A wonderful Saturday afternoon at the Rose Garden of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, The roses where  being watered and  we got wet while enjoying  the spray of the water. It was June and all was well. It is nice to be a child again.

Have a wonderful week

Perfect for your Sunday dinner

The great composer Vincenzo Bellini, a Sicilian, loved this dish so much that it was eventually named in his honor. Listen to Maria Callas sing Casta Diva from Norma and then you realize the genius of Bellini. It's a nice thing to do on a Sunday but don't forget the pasta.
