Street photography

Image
This Kodachrome image dates from the early seventies. This area has undergone serious gentrification and many changes. My studio was located a few blocks away and that was my subway stop. Time flies by.

Have a great weekend and stay warm.

Archival slide scans

Image
During the winter I try to get organized and do more scanning. These Kodachrome II scans date from 1973 and I used a fast scanner that looses  some quality but gets the job done. I do not have the time or the patience for slow scanners.

I love this city

Boredom

Image
This is a photo of a bored vendor at a street fair in Brooklyn a few summers ago and was shpt with a Canon G-9 point and shoot camera.

An early spring day long ago

Image
We are undergoing a severe cold snap so I naturally think spring. This image dates from 1970 and was shot on Ektachrome 64 120 with a Yashikamat 124, my first venture in medium format photography. This image has a nice feeling of warmth and tranquility.

Arthur Avenue

Image
The little Italy in The Bronx, is the city's last and in many ways the most authentic. Arthur Avenue is it's center along with 187th Street. Here there are all the old stores selling wonderful Italian products but the emphasis is on foodstuffs. We Italians love to eat well. These images are from a recent trip there on a beautiful and sunny winter day.

Have a lovely week
