The Japanese Garden

Image
The Japanese Garden at the Brooklyb Botanic Garden is a true gem and a super attraction. On this cloudy day after a rain storm, it was very quiet but on sunny spring days it attracts many happy visitors. To mr it's the centerpiece of this beautiful garden right smack in the middle of Brooklyn.

Spring?

Saint Germain des Près

Image
The Fountain at Saint Germain des Près, Paris' oldest church provides a public space that is always very busy and entertaining. The statue in gold is actually a real person. How he can stay still in that position is hard to understand. What a way to make a living.

When I'm in Sicily I do lots of cooking. I call it DNA cooking because I go back to the old culinary roots.  borrowing  from the collective unconscious store of classic Sicilian recipes that have bee indelibly etched in our DNA. Simple, healthful  and delicious staples that have kept us fed for centuries. Naturally this is where the Mediterranean cuisine that is all the rage today originated from. Bucatini con salsa fresca di pomodoro Cucuzza e tinnirumi Tagliatelle con pomodirini di Pachino e basilico

Old Bethpage Village

This is a wonderful restored old village on long Island and is a great place to take the children. These are old images that I made when I took my first born there many years ago.
