A Saturday in Baltimore

Image
These images are from what is called Little Italy in Baltimore. The area is small but colorful, the restaurants are trying hard and the whole experience is so so. What can I say; wee New Yorkers are really spoiled. Still I'm glad I went.

Have a lovely weekend

Grab shot at The National Gallery

Image
The National Gallery in Washington, DC is a true gem. Not to mention that there is no admission fee. Our taxes at work. The collections are first rate, the building. of italianate architecture is exquisite and the restaurant offers good food. What more can one ask, A must visit for anyone interested in great art and in a good time.

A bright winter day

Vintage shots

Image
I still like to call my film photos shots while reserving images to digital ones. Perhaps I'm old fashioned. These shots date from 1975 and were  made with a Leica M2-R sporting a 35mm Summicron F 2. The film was Tri-X that I developed in Kodak D 76 full strength to soften the grain a bit. Those were the days when one had to think about composition, film cost and developer options. Digital has killed photography by trivializing it. It's just not fun anymore.

Early morning winter light

For all my abhorrence of winter, it has its moments, Decent images are possible. Not much of a consolation, however.

Just memories

Memories of when my city was whole; before the desecration of 9-11.
