Where has time gone?

This photo dates from 1969. It was shot om Kodachrome II with a Canon FT.  We lived just across the street. This street  in Castellammare del Golfo known as Vicolo Timpa is now a gentrified and super expensive place to live because, to the left, there's a spectacular view of the gulf.

Late afternoon in Paris

A couple chilling along the Seine. Just wonderful. I just love Paris.

Central Park, long ago

A late winter day while I was suffering from spring fever, This is the area near the boat house that, naturally, stored the boats until the spring. The film was Ektachrome 100 that I developed in Unichrome chemistry. They held up well. The year was 1974, hard to believe.

What can I say

I really love food more that photography so shooting food dishes that I prepare is the ultimate satisfaction. This is a very traditional and old Sicilian dish called pasta alla carrettiera. The carrettieri where the carters who were obviously replaced by truck drivers. They rode their carts and were very important to local trade. This dish, simplicity in itself, was prepared on the rear of the cart. Today this would be called tailgating. It consists of garlic, basil. olive oil and fresh   green or red pepper that can be replaced by peperoncino. A grating of pecorino completes the dish. The mixture is all raw and can be prepared as the pasta is being cooked. It is absolutely delicious. The pinnacle of minimalism.

Sometimes a trip to the backyard is all that's needed especially at the right time of day.
