Saturday morning in Chinatown, Manhattan

Image
Shot a few years ago on one of my street photography expedition of sorts. I used my Leica M2-R loaded with Ektachrome X. This photo has a very nice and relaxed  feeling.

Have a lovely weekend

Kyoto long ago

This is also from the Gyon Festival. It was shot on Kodachrome X. It's colors have remained vibrant and true after all these years. Another moment of time frozen.

Archival shot

Of course New York is not all glitter and it has it's less than pleasant areas and scenes. This photo from the early seventies was shot in a rather expensive area - of course all areas of Manhattan are and have always been over priced - in the 20's on the East side. It does make for an interesting image. This was also a color slide that faded and I had to convert to black and white.

Hon Kong, the way it was

Image
This image dates from 1971 and was taken on a busy street  on Victoria Island, as it was called then. There's a lot of activity going on. It was shot on Agfachrome that had faded and then converted to black and white.

Dancing in the streets

These photos are from a recent trip to Saint Augustine, Florida, a lovely city that I fall in love with. In these two images, this couple was dancing to the music that was being played at a club that was audible outdoors. A very fun place.

Let's get real

This blog stays away from controversies; nevertheless, there are times when I must add my two cents. All this nonsense about immigration especially from Mexico must be addressed. I can do it  This image was shot by my talented wife, Marcy last spring. better  with pictures. Here we have an Italian specialty foods store in the Arthur Avenue section of The Bronx staffed totally by Mexicans. These are very hard working people that are very simpatici.

Have a lovely Sunday
