Archival Ektachrome 100, 120 format scans

Image
I really loved my first 120 or 6X6, format camera. It was the Yashicamat 124 and it opened up a new world of seeing images that had excellent image quality.  These slides date from the early seventies when the Seaport was still in it's planning stage.

Have a wonderful weekend

Spring will arrive soon. It's the season when times accelerates and it will be over in an instant,

Uncle and niece

Image
These photos were shot on Tri-X with a Leica M-4 and a 35mm Summicron F2 lens. The pianist is my friend Mike Maiello, an accomplished music teacher who was visiting his brother Amedeo a dear friend of mine who passed too early. I was also visiting. It was a wonderful time back in 1990. To note how time passes, Michela, the niece, is now a mother. I keep finding and posting.

It needs a lot of work

This old Dutch barn belongs to a dear friend who purchased along with a beautiful colonial house and a large tract of land.  Fixing it is extremely expensive and there are really no carpenters capable of doing the needed repairs. Too bad.

St. Peter basilica

These black and white images were shot back in October 1991 while I was doing something for an Italian client. I had forgotten these negatives and I want to share these images.

The Amerigo Vespucci

Image
In July of 1992 there was an operation OP sail to celerate the 500th anniversary of the discovery of America. Amerigo Vespucci was the Italian explorer whose first name was used to coin the name America. The Italian Navy has a tall training ship named Amerigo Vespucci that led the festivities and was featured prominently. It is a beautiful  ship and it made for nice images. I had misplaced the color negatives but found and scanned them so I want to share a few.

Have a wonderful week. Stay warm.
