A typical lunch dish when I was in Sicily. Caprese with tuna in the center sprinkled with lemon juice and of course Sicilian olive oil. Those free radicald don't have a chance!

Just announced, not from Wetzlar but from Solms, Germany, it's the glorious LEICA M9. The real answer to the prayers of all of those who are at heart, leicaphiles. A full frame 24X36 Kodak sensor with 18 mega pixels. A dream come true indeed. We shall wait for further tests to see but from what we can see this is a true classic. A dream come rue for street photographers and events photographers who do not have to rely on the foibles of AF in low light. For the type of work I do, it's worth getting rid of all my gear just to get this gem and return to photography once more. No more silly beels and whistles, just a pure camera. A pure Leica. It doesn't get any better than this. And it was announced on my birthday. Coincidence?

Fog on the lems can do miracles. Taken in the fall of 2007 with the Canon 20D and the 24-80 3.5-4.5 EF lens. The location is the NY Botanic Garden.

It's the spring of 2003 and my camera is a Minolta Dimage 404. A mere 4 mega pixels in a well built camera with a superb lens. I really miss it now.
