When I was shooting with film, I really liked the 120 format. Looking at those large slides was fascinating. This is an image dating from the fall of 1973. I remember the shot and it was on a Saturday. Then we used to go on many trips by car. We were care free because we had no children yet. But I loved having my children even though many on things we did had to be cancelled or postponed.

Have a great weekend. Smell the last roses.

Wood carver at flea market

Image
This time of the year is when flea markets and fall festivals seem to be everywhere. This wood carver caught my eye not only for his interesting work but for his great concentration in his craft.

A hard way to make a living

Image
This very ingenious Immigrant from North Africa sells all sorts of items while walking back and forth on the beach. He carries all on his shoulders but he attaches all his goods on a stand with legs so he can put it down when he makes a sale or to take a breather. What a way to make a living.

Rural alley

In small towns one can still get a flavor of things as they once were. This alley that once was thriving is now in a state od decay. Too bad.

Seasonal images

The foliage has not been spectacular this year in these parts but I try anyhow. This is perhaps out of habit or for having little to do these days. Still I try to do my best and still enjoy taking pictures.

A Columbus day long ago

P hotography gave me the opportunity to cover  many events. There was a period when I was a paparazzo. I was shooting for an Italian paper and was able to get on the media truck. The experience was priceless. It was back in 1980 and Pavarotti was the Grand Marshall. Behind the president walked Jeraldine Ferraro one of my many political costumers. She was truly a wonderful person  who like Luciano, left us too soon.

Have a peaceful Sunday
