First day of spring...really? You could have fooled me.

This is how spring arrived this year. What can I say.

Have a wonderful weekend

Spring is here?

Well according to the calendar but not according to reality. At any rate, the blog look will reflect a spring like feel. A little brighter but always relaxing. I wish a happy spring to all and a nice fall to my followers in the southern hemisphere.

Old Lafayette

Once a pleasant little village, it has now become one antique shop after another. I find that this activity is really a form of recycling. Most items bought by those who have nothing else to buy, as it were so they buy what some one else is tired of looking at. Consumerism on steroids but it's harmless.

In Central Park, many years ago

Shot at the boat house in the month of February many years ago. The film was Ektachrome 100 that I got in bulk rolls and developed with  Unicolor chemicals. The camera was the Nikon Ftn with the 105mm F 1.5 Nikkor lens that I still have.

It's always the light

A photo is as interesting as the light that was available. We are back in Paris, and these late afternoon shots prove the adage.

This post if for the Irish

Happy Saint Patrick's Day. To all my Irish friends out there.

Que belle ville

I just love Paris. Here are two images from a fruit store near our hotel. Although the flavor of the fruit, as in any large city,  could never match that of Sicily, the arrangement was a work pf art.

Have a wonderful week

This image was shot a few years ago on the Boardwalk of Coney Island in early April when the place is still asleep. It was a semi cloudy day when the Sun tried to  show it's face. The resultant light was warm, diffused and very pleasant.
