Back to the past.

Image
I realize that for most of you, 1967, is ancient history; not for me. I see it as being just yesterday. However, although I knew nothing about the technical aspects of photography, I was beginning to form an eye for it and slowly photography became my passion. The film was Kodachrome II and the camera was a Kodak 35mm folding Retina. Nothing fancy but I believe that it had a light meter of sorts.

Have a nice weekend

Image
Sadly, this magnificent garden is off limits these days but we can always use photos to stimulate our memory of happier spring days.

We will always have Paris

Image
Dig we must in these strange times. Paris to the rescue. Hope it will bring you some serenity.

The reopening of Lady Liberty

Image
In 1884, the Statue of Liberty was closed for much needed renovations and On July 3, 1986 it was reopening with a centennial celebration as big as only New York could stage it. These images were shot from the Brooklyn Bridge with Nikon equipment and Ektachrome film and Tri-X Pan.

Chatham

Image
It was just a year ago that we were in Cape Cod and visited Chatham a small but typically colorful town full of the usual tourist places. e toured the Church and had a nice lunch. We were planning to return to Cape Cod this year but, alas, the virus prevented  it. Better luck next time.

Human interest

Image
I had several non profit social service agencies as my clients and they always needed human interest images for their publications. This was naturally my cup of tea. This image was made at a dat care center run by Family and Children's Associations of Long Island, a wonderful client with whom I had a long association.

The park in the mid seventies

Image
Naturally by "the park," I can inly refer to Central Park New York's premiere natural space. Usually full of people "making the scene," as it were, these images reflect moments of peace and tranquility. We can all use images that give us peace in these difficult times.
