Stonington Conn. / E PL2

Image
One of the most enchanting New England town. It's absolutely lovely and shot at the right time of day, it's almost magical. It has lost a lot of it's old sea town authenticity due to yuppification and development but there are a lot of beautiful old buildings. Alas all the old Portuguese luncheonettes are gone giving way to expensive and pretentious eateries. Too bad. The place is still lovely.

Northampton Mass / E PL2

This is the Heritage Museum at Northampton, Mass. A lovely town with a truly historic past. That fence with the roses absolutely floored me.

A great photo from a great photographer

My daughter Jennifer, a working professional photographer, shot this image of the feast of Castellammare del Golfo, my hometown, last year. It captures the flavor of the procession that takes place at night. I just love the statue and street lighting arrangement. Very nice Jen. She used either the Panasonic LX-3 0r the Canon 5D II with the canon 50mm F1.4 lens. When I see her work, I understand how Leopold Mozart must have felt. I just love her work.

Mystic at night / E-PL2

Some shots of Mystic Connecticut on a cold June night.

Those unbelievable colors. / Canon G-9

The colors in Sicily are truly unbelievable. These were shot by Marcy, my wife and are JPEGS out of the camera. Only re sized for the internet. She always does a great job and she also took that nice shot of me that modesty aside, I had to share.
