Archival shot.

Image
This Kodachrome II slide scan dates from 1973 and was shot in what was to become the South Street Seaport. It was then being planned. I used my trusted Nikkor 105 f2.5 on a Nikon FTn.

Enjoy your weekend

Summer is finally here, enjoy

Image
With  summer come hot days and there's no better place to seek a peaceful spot in a park to get relief while enjoying the b eauty of the season. This is especially true for urban dwellers.

I just love this bridge

No matter how one captures it, it's always beautiful. This is an early Digital image made with the Olympus E-20

Killer roses

Image
The rose garden at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden is heavenly. The variety of roses is very large in numbers and of high quality. Their beauty is jaw dropping.  If one goes during a dry period, the roses are almost perfect. A rain storm can cause them damage but the garden is open until late fall so there are always lovely roses to be seen and appreciated.

A yard sale long ago

These are 120 format Ektachromes shot in the early seventies at a roadside yard sale. The camera was the Yashicamat 124.

Have a great week.

Do not forget to stop and smell the roses
