The one that got away
In my early days of digital, i tried many cameras that traded for others. The Minolta S 404 was a gem that I should have never parted with. It looked and acted like a film camera but because it had a mere 4 megapixel sensor, i got rid of it Bic mistake. What can I say other than I'm sorry? ...
Sicilian block party
In front of my house in Sicily we have an annual block party. Every neighbor contributes and we have lots of fun. Some years we have a block dinner at night that is not only fun but full of delicious home made delicacies. This year I'm stuck n this side of the pond so I can only relive the happy memories. I have really great neighbors who are not only friendly but very helpful and keep an eye on the house when I'm away. I'm very lucky that way. I'm the one on the bottom left with the dark blue T shirt. There were some tourists from the UK who just could not believe all the joy and alacrity.
On a personal note
Please indulge me if you will. Sunday was my first born son Josef's birthday. I named after Josef Breitenbach my great photo teacher and mentor. So I dedicate this post to the child who made me a fP ather and to the man who made me a photographer.
It's really about the food these days
When I travel I'm more interested about the food than the photos. When a photo op of food ppears I couldn't be more happy. These photos a a few years ago were shot in Genoa, Italy in a large market where on Saturday local artisans and farmers sod their wonderful products. These salamis were absolutely delicious.
