Archival classic shot

Image
This old barber shop was on Nevins Street, Brooklyn. I used a Nikonos II that I used when the weather was inclement. The lens was a Nikkor UW 35 mm mF 2.5 and naturally, the film was Tri-X.

Have a lovely weekend

The American porch

Image
Nothig defines a traditional American home better than a front porch. This particular one was in Srasburg, Pennsylvania and naturally it was shot in late afternoon light.

Let the light guide you. It will speak for you and create magical images.

Classic shot

Image
I consider this to be my very first "good shot." It was made with a folding Kodak Retina with a Schneider lens and Kodachrome II. I had just returned from Europe where I hd taken some nice photos but on  this particilar one I attribute my beginning interest in photography. This was back in September of 1967, a long time ago.

Have a very happy Valentines Day

Le Musée D'Orsay

Image
This wonderful museum was originally a railway station opened for the exposition of 1900. By 1939 it had become obsolete. In the early seventies it was to be demolished but better heads prevailed and it was converted into a superb exhibition space. It has the premiere impressionistic collection in Paris or anywhere. I always vist it when I go to Paris. Not to be missed.

Always catch the light
