My unforgettable Mookie

Image
As  I ponder on the dreadful winter ahead, I think of my beloved and departed but unforgettable Belgian sheep dog, Mookie who absolutely enjoyed the cold weather and especially the snow. He is always with me as I carry him in my heart.

Classic studio light

Image
My studio techniques always fallowed the tenet of keeping it simple. One umbrella and a reflector or just window light and a reflector. My old studio on East 26 Street faced north so I had ideal light. Both of these shots used window light with a reflector. The film was good old Tri-X Pan and the camera was the Nikon F with the Nikkor 105 F 2.5 lens. A combination made in heaven.

Another favorite

This shot was made in Lido D'ostia, near Rome, looking South with the setting sun to the west. It captures "the capturing of the light."

I love this shot

Image
I consider this a true classic that just happened. It was shot with the Nikonos II under water camera that I used during inclement weather and the 35 F 2.5 UW Nikkor on Tri-X Pan film. The place was Hoyt Street in Brooklyn.

Elegant lady

Image
In may work, many assignments bordered on the routine and the prosaic. Nevertheless, I always tried to come home with a image or two that <I could be proud of. This elegant woman was photographed ad a ball many years ago. It was shot on  Fuji 400 color negative film with the Nikon F03 and the 105 F 2.5 Nikkor lens.
