Sunrise
This is the view of Manhattan I get early in the morning at sunrise that is quite late on this period, at about 7:AM. The buildings in the background become golden. This shot called for a tele but I like the whole feeling and contrast with the foreground, not to mention that the digital zoom on the iPhone is not really usable.

A little nuts?
I usually take no editorial positions because this blog is a place to avoid strong opinions and a place to take a brief rest from all the noise out there. Nevertheless, there are images that cry out for some sort of opinion. The Christmas decorations that are so prevalent at this time of the year can become a little over the top to put it very mildly. The word nuts is apropos here. These are two separate homes in Queens that are absolutely unbelievable. I cannot help to wonder where all these items are stored after it's all over. However, they make nice images for the blog.

A new color scheme for Christmas
This new color scheme is to welcome the Christmas season and to wish all of my visitor all the best for the holidays whatever they may be.Thanks for visiting.
Fooling around
Followers of this blog realize that I am not one of those manipulator of images. I earned my right to be a photographer on film so there really was not much manipulation other than basic darkroom practices necessary in those days I really avoid gimmics. BUT, there are times when I'm tempted and because I have an Instagram account I, on rare times, use their so called filters to play with an image. This shot is such an example. I know it.s silly but why not. Photography should really be fun.
