There's something very pleasant and almost exotic about lotuses and water lilies. They photograph well.

I cannot stop thinking of this place. It's where I was born and I carry it in my heart constantly. What can I say.

It's almost here

Here in the north eastern part of the States it's slowly turning into fall. the most glorious season in this area. These were shot a few years ago  along the Delaware River from the Pennsylvania side.

Il templio dorico di Segesta

Image
Segesta, was the instigator that caused  the  war between Athens and Syracuse and to  the defeat  of Athens that  eventually led to the  the decline of Greece. As they say the rest is history. The town of Castellammare del Golfo was Segesta's port and emporium. Today, this temple along with an equally impressive amphitheater, make up for a must visit destination. This Doric temple is especially note worthy as it lacks a cella, the interior room, that other Greek temples have. As are all Greek ruins in Sicily, it is well preserved and built on a greater scale than those in Greece.

Late summer at the garden

Image
As you may have already gathered, I absolutely love the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Whwnever I need a photo, I can always go there to fulfill my need to photograph. No matter which season, the Garden never ceases to amaze me.
