Children having fun

Image
I always like to photograph children and was fortunate that many of my costumers were social service agencies so that I had many occasions to do so. These are from a daycare center event many years ago. Early digital images.

have a beautiful weekend

Amazing

Image
This shot was submitted by my very talented daughter, Jennifer, who is a professional photographer in her own right. She has decided to move to Oregon where she has changed from a hipster to a hickster, just kidding. This is an amazing photo proving that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. A truly wonderful image. Keep submitting then Jen. Great work. From your very proud father.

Too early to dream of summer?

Image
Here in the northern hemisphere, as the days get increasingly shorter  my thought wonder to the long summer days with their magical evenings that last and last. Well, back to reality.

Glorioso

Image
Has I have stated many times before. there's always Venice when I get stuck on what to post, I can  always look at my Venetians images. The Rialto Bridge is a truly glorious structure.

I love these chairs

Image
Placed on the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware River these Adirondack chairs make for nice images.  The bridge on the background of the top image was built by Robleing, the same engenner who designed the Brooklyn Bridge. It is a wooden, one lane bridge.

Vintage studio shot

Image
This shot was made with a Burke and James 4X5 view camera with a 100mm Ektar F 4.5 lens on Tri-X Pan Professional film. The lighting was simple window light on my studio on west 26th street with a northern exposure. How many mega pixels are we talking about? View cameras are wonderful devices that make you think about every aspect of the shot before you push the shutter. Many will never understand this. I feel sorry for them.

Have a wonderful week

Car show

Image
Thee was a time when American cars were the envy of the world. Their power, size and bold designs made most other cars seem puny and prosaic. These three beauties are from a recent country car show.  The camera, BTW, was a Canon G-9, a mere point and shoot.
