Rocco Galatioto, nice photos and good food

This is one of my very first medium format shots. It was shot on Ansco 120 B&W film with a speed of 500 that in those days was very fast and was developed in Ansco Hyfonol developer. In those days I was experimenting with all sorts of film and developer combinations. It was one aspect of film photography that I enjoyed and miss. The camera was the original Yashicamat 124

Relax, spring will be here in one week.    

These are cortili   courtyards or alleys in that lovely mountain top town of Erice that I have posted many times before. I always find new images that catch my attention. This gem is located atop Monte San Giuliano smack on the north western corner of  Sicily.

When it gets difficult to chose what to post, there's always Venice. It never disappoints. I hope you agree.

Sometimes a photo appears to "work," as it were. One image suffices for the post. I believe that this is one such image.

Hopefully so. But this year one cannot really promise anything. These were shot at the Planting Fields Arboretum in Long Island , NY. A truly wonderful location. At any rate, it was a sunny day.

Since yesterday was International Women's Day what better way is there than to post candid photos of beautiful  women?

These orchids were just shot at the Planting Fields Arboretum on Long Island's north shore. We dis our annual winter trip there to see the camellias and the other wonderful flowers in their hot houses. It is like walking into spring. A highly recommended place to visit.
