One shot can reveal much

Image
This is  according to me  a successful example of street photography. It shows wariness, boredom, disinterest, and tiredness not to mention that one can feel the heat of the afternoon. It was shot in London way back in July of 1969 with a Canon FT, a 50mm  F 1.4 Canon  FL lens on Agfachrome 50 whose colors had badly faded. Black and white conversion saved the day and made it into an rven stronger image.

Have a wonderful weekend

Urban shots

Image
These buildings wee in Brooklyn's Bed-Stuy section before gentrification and the coming of the hipster phenomenon. The date from the spring of 1987.

Night shot

Image
This is a shot that sort of just happened and one that I have never been able to duplicate or shoot again. I was walking home, late at night, in Castellammare del Golfo when on my left I noted this alley. I love how the chairs and the street lights define the image. One of my better efforts.

Simplicity

Image
There's a basic and pleasant simplicity in New England architecture. These scenes from Cape Cod prove this point. I kept the composition also simple as t o complement this basic design.

Morning walk

Image
Each morning I take a half hour walk with my dog. Here in north east Pennsylvania, the winter has already begun and this is what I'm  encountering. Pretty but also dreadful.

It's always the light

Image
I cannot repeat it to many times, it's the light that makes the image.

Have a wonderful week

Winter is early this year

Image
This year, an  early winter or late fall snow storm hit the north east making it a white Thanksgiving. Go figure.
