It's the merry month of May. It appears that spring is going so fast. These photos are from a trip to the Queens Botanical Garden with the D70S and the 60mm F2.8 Micro Nikkor. It was a beautiful day.

Spring, wonderful spring; there's nothing like it. A photo from a past spring, that of 2005. Shot with the incomparable Fuji S2 Pro. It's color had that super natural look that opened up many creative possibilities. I do not recall the Nikkor that I used.

A few photos with the Nikon D70S for 4-28-10

What I'm I going crazy; I'm using a D70S which in these crazy digital days is equivalent of going retro. Why did I just get a D70S? The answer is simple. I needed a back up camera for my D700. When I got the D700, I sold my D2X's and was left with only one Nikon body. For work I've been using my Canon system. Yet I could not simply give up the Nikon system for work. With some new shoots coming up that are basically outdoor events, I needed the superiority of the Nikon flash system. It's fill flash TTL is unbeatable. So the backup. I saw the camera at Armato Pro Video and Photo, my favorite place to shop and it's also close to home. It was in mint condition and it came with the the 17-85 F3.5-4.5G lens; I had to have it. The price was also good. I had a D70 with that lens and loved the results, that is until my daughter, the superb photographer, was using it when her canoe overturned. C'est la vie. I have had many or even too many cameras but this one excit...

There's nothing like Manhattan on a sunny spring weekend day. These are taken at Union Square on this past Saturday, a pleasant sunny day with a perfect temperature. The 5DII with the 24-105 F4 L.
