Old Quebec views / Nikon FTn

Image
These kodachromes have held up well requiring very little color correction. The lens was the Nikkor 35mm F 2.8.

A photo to cool off / Nikon D-700

Image
This shot is one of many taken to test the 14mm Nikkor F 2.8. A very nice prime lens that is challenging to use. It's a nice photo for a hot summer day.

LA CATTEDRALE / Canon FT

Image
This photo of the cathedral in Florence dates from 1969. It was shot with the Canon 26mm F 3.5 FL. The original Agfachrome was too magenta to be useful. I converted it to B&W and achieved a wonderfully dramatic feel.

Parisian Sunday faternoon in the park / Canon FT

Image
This is Les Touleries garden in Paris, way back when. The lens was the Canon 50mm F1.4 FL. The Agfachrome faded somewhat but I was able to remove much of the magenta cast.

It gets more beautiful every time I see it

Image
Castellammare shot from the so called " le scale" a road that snakes up the mountain. The lens on the E PL-2 was the standard 14-42 Zuiko II.

Old Quebec / Leica M-4

Image
I just loved to shoot with my Leicas. The most often used lens was the 35mm F2 Summicron that I still love. The film was Kodachrome II.

One gorgeous eggplant

Image
This super fresh eggplant will be fried in olive oil and will be placed over the pasta con la salsa (pasta with tomato sauce0 that I am cooking as I write this. The flavor has a Sicilian intensity that cannot be described.

La festa di San Gennaro, NYC / Nikon Ftn

Image
Once more we are in San Gennaro, the feast of the saint who isn't really one but who cares. Let's have a festa. Here I used high speed Ektachrome with the 105 F 2.5 Nikkor lens.

Zuppa di pesci

Image
This delicious zuppa di pesci (fish soup) wa what we had for dinner tonight. Naturally all the ingredients were super fresh and the result was a delicious meal.

Too early for fall? / Leica M2R

Image
I shot this fall scene in 1974, with the tele Elmarit 90mm F 2.8 Leitz lens. BTW Fall will be here before we know it. The film was Kodachrome 25 as Kodachrome II, the greatest slide film ever was discontinued and was no more. The reason given were environmental. But who really knows for sure.
