Winter in Sicily

Image
Winter is my favorite time in Sicily. The ground is full of wild flowers and green grass. Many trees begin to flower and the bougainvilleas are still blooming. These images were taken using the soft focus filter on my Olympus E-PL2 an old camera that I still use. I like the results.

Moods

The ability to capture moods is one of photography's most important qualities. Naturally one must shoot candids to fully appreciate this feature.

Ah Venezia

When it gets tough to find photos to post, there's always Venice. Magical.

Studio shots

When I had my studio in Manhattan, I had to shoot model portfolios therefore I had to use studio lights. Even in the studio I kept light simple. The idea was to emulate window light. I usually used a large umbrella and reflectors. I liked the results.

In situ portraits

Image
I always shot my corporate portraits in situ or in their natural places where the subjects worked so that they were at ease. I also used minimal lights as not to create confusion and distractions. I'm from the old school that avoided all the gadgets. I did not have to impress anybody, only myself.

Have a lovely week
