Have a delicious weekend

Candid portraits

During my assignments, I always tried to come away with candid portraits of people. I have always preferred photographing people above anything else. I was fortunate to have several social agencies as clients and that afforded me many favorable photo ops.

Street photography

Among many practitioners of this so called art, street photography is deemed the holy grail. I used to do  much of it in my younger days. This image is not too old and was shot in Coney Island. I called this man the philosopher of Coney Island. It was shot with a Nikon F 200 and a 35mm lens. I do not shoot from far away with long lenses. I find this offensive to the subject. I believe it to be a cowardly type of sniping. I like to get close and personal. Most people welcome having their picture taken. If they refuse, I just walk away. No big deal.

Room with a view

This was the vies from our hotel room in Assisi, Italy. This hilly town is full of history and religious significance. The food and wine are excellent and the photo ops are almost endless.
