Nothing compares

The brooklyn Bridge defines New York better than any other symbols of this beautiful city. this is an early digital shot made with an Olympus E-10 that had a mere 4 mega pixels of resolution. Go figure.

Old Sicilian Farmer

I was in the town's park in Castellammare del Golfo, I saw this gentleman and naturally I took his picture. He said it's OK to take my picture but I would like you to come to my  country place and take photos of the old farm equipment that is to be junked before the building is taken down. So we drove him to his place and took these photos. This  man, a true gentleman farmer,  was very friendly and   really happy that these implements, so dear to him, were being photographed. I has a set of prints made for him which he appreciated very much. I saw him again at the park in subsequent trips to Sicily but after a few years I stopped seeing him at the park. I always wonder what happened to him.

Manhattan in the eighties

Images shot from the City Hall area of Manhattan in the mid eighties with 120 Tri-X Pan and a Mamyia C-220. It was a Sunday morning when the city that never sleeps was somewhat sleepy.

You just had to be there

Weekends in Central park on late sixties and early seventies were magical. This was before the transition from hippies to hipsters. Before everybody was connected to a network. It was when people interacted with each other and when making the scene was the in thing to do. The place was wild and wonderful. You just had to be there to understand
