Archival slide scans

Image
These Kodachrome scans date from 1986 and were shot at the Feast of Saint Anthony in lower Manhattan. This is an annual festival that mimics the feasts to patron saints back in the old country.

Old archival shot

Image
This image dates from the summer of 1969. Shot in Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily when it was a real place and the fishmonger came around along with other vendors. Now supermarkets have put n end to these colorful people. The camera was a Canon Ft with a 50mm F 1.5 Canon FL lens. The film was Tri-X.

The view from my old studio

In the seventies had a studio on 26th Street and Lexington Avenue in Manhattan, Rents were still affordable then. When i got bored or after a long darkroom session. I would shoot out from the second floor window. These are scanned Kodachromes.

A sad ceremony

Image
Although we do not engage in politics here. there are events that are so moving that we must sort of cover. Every year on 9-11, a memorial ceremony is held in Juniper Valley Park to honor and remember the victims and those whose courageous actions saved many lives. Every year the number of attendants decreases as people forget or need to forget, but it is always a sad affair
