These two Kodachromes date from the middle seventies and were shot upstate New York. This was a so called yard sale but most of the stuff could have been generously names as junk.

These are photos of Brooklyn's Bed Stuy section before gentrification turned it into a very desirable but expensive place to live.

Here are two more iPhone images. This is a lovely town on the Delaware River bordering New Jersey. Although no true professional photographer will ever admit that a smart phone is as good as a camera -they are not- they do provide a facility of use that beats cameras. This is in the area of portability and readiness of usage. Not even the most compact point and shoot will afford this. At any rate, when the light is not very challenging, one cam make nice images wit these phones that you always have at hand. iPhone image iPhone image

The seventies were the glory days of boom boxes and street performances. As one can see, there were no smart phones or other distractions. People participated by paying attention to the event. These talented guys were on Fifth Avenue in midtown Manhattan many years ago. Where did the time go?
