Vintage slide

Image
This was shot on Lexington Avenue, Manhattan, in the early seventies. From the square format I believe it was shot on 120 film. Long ago and far away.

Have a pleasant weekend

Those were the days.

June of 1969 in Washington Square Park in Manhattan. Hippies having fun. Canon Ft with a 50mm F 1.4 FL Canon lens. Naturally, the film was Tri-X Pan.

Vintage black and white

Central park in the early seventies was a great place to go on weekends. I would take one of my  Leicas and plenty of Tri-X Pan. This was before everyone was connected to the cloud; when people interacted with one another. It was really fun.

Everybody is a photographer

I'm sure glad I'm retired. How can anyone make a living as a photographer these days when little kids with a smart phone can take great pictures? These are really nice images especially the second one that shows the satisfaction  and concentration on the little girl's face. Priceless. Go get hem kid. The location is my beloved Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily.

Mazaea del Vallo

Image
This ancient city in north west Sicily sports the largest fishing fleet in Europe. Naturally we always visit to have great seafood dishes. Besides the food, this small city is marvelous in it's architecture. It has a superb lungomare , or promenade, a very nice town park, large piazze and a magnificent cathedral. It is a must place to visit in Sicily. If you do, try the pasta con sarde . Pasta with sardines, you will not be sorry.

True love

This is my very dear friend Mike owner of the Fattoria del Pino in Miasino, Piedmont, Italy. His love of animals is evident in this candid and not posed shot.

Have a lovely week
