Rocco Galatioto, nice photos and good food

I love to use the soft focus filter on my old and trusted Olympus E-PL 2. These were shot in Scopello.

The brief trip to my beloved Sicily is over and now it's back to the  old routine.

Times flies when you are having fun as the trite but useful expression goes. We will be heading back to New York but will return very soon.

This is the bay of Makari a small village where there's one of the best restaurants in the area. It's called Azzurra Makari where the food and the service are outstanding. We usually like to go there just before sunset and dine in the outdoor patio. This is an image from last summer; the mountain on the left is Monte Cofano,

OK, I'm in Sicily so I cannot complain and we are having a great time but no matter what I miss New York. This is an image shot by my talent ed wife, Marcy, with her trusted Canon G-9.

Every time we come to Sicily we always visit Trapani. It's centro storico or historic center is now a huge pedestrian mall that makes for  very pleasant passeggiate or walks. I am fascinated by the many arched ways  and entrances in this area.

Obviously this is not Holland; it's Mozia [Mothia} and these are the salt flats. Here the water is very shallow so that it can be sectioned off and the hot son dries it producing superb sea salt. The wind mills were used to crush the large salt crystals. Now modern machinery is used but the wind mills have remained and they make  images
