A great day to visit a museum

In New York we are lucky because there's a plethora of museums. This image if from the Frick Collection, a truly wonderful small museum that doesn't have the huge crowds that are always found at the MET, for example.

Have a beautiful weekend

Ellis Island

Ellis Island is perhaps one of the best known island, in New York harbor except for Liberty Island, of curse. I made this image while working an event at a venue just on the tip of Manhattan. It had rained but for an instant the sky opened up to create this wonderful light.

Tired and bored

These tourists got tired after perusing  the bancarelle or stalls at that are traditionally set up at Piazza Petrolo in Castellammare del Golfo during the feast of the Madonna del Soccorso. Most items for sale are really of little value but they are fun to look at. The man should have taken out his smart phone and join the rest of his family. Probably he was too tired to do so.

The basics for life

The Bronx's Little Italy provides the food lover the necessities for the good table. There are all sorts of food stores and restaurants. The most traditional is Teitel Brothers a pillar of great foods for the buon tavolo italiano.

Beautiful horse

This beautiful horse belongs to a very dear friend of mine in Miasino, Piedmont, Italy. All things considered, horses are really the most wonderful domesticated animals.

Cannot live it alone

These absurd rusty iron ears of sorts are sited on the mail lawn of the garden of Versailles. Although the buildings are quite overdone as only the French can do this the gardens are wonderful. But they could not leave things as they were. They had, de rigoeur, introduce a modern piece perhaps as a statement of modernity with it's concomitant lack of taste. Many will think of  me as  old foggy but I stand by my sense of taste. Il senso di buon gusto e stile as we Italians say. But they make for interesting images. So be it
.
