At this time of the year, the trees are luxuriant. They are at the peak of growth and rich and healthy. As the summer arrives with the hot days, the leaves begin to show stress and lose their luxuriant glow and beauty.

The county seat
All counties have their county seat but the really nice ones are the ones in the older counties where the court house used to be the center of bureaucratic life. This Court house is lovely and it's in Honesdale, PA, seat of Wayne County. It has a lovely fountain and a statue commemorating those who fell during the war of secession. A ve ry pleasant place to stop seat and enjoy the moment.
