Simple salad / Canon 5D
Of all Italian salads, this simple masterpiece is the most ubiquitous. This is from an agriturismo in Piedmont, but the identical salad was eaten at breakfast in Sicily. I had this daily in the summer when I used to visit my grandfather in the country. Just tomatoes, onions and olives. The dressing is oil and vinegar. In Sicily we added a sprinkle of oregano and a salted sardine was also part of this healthful breakfast. The bread was home made in a wood fired oven. The lens was the Canon 24-105 F 4 L.
Buon appetito.

We usually have this kind of salad around here, but also with cucumber. Otherwise, the ingredients are absolutely the same. Nice to know it's Italian. :D
