The virtues of a good point and shoot / Canon G-11
Before I settled with the Olympus E PL-2 as my favorite travel camera, I used a varieties so called point and shoot models. The Canon G-11 was one of the best. These two photos of rather close up hand held. They show how the image stabilization and the lens all work together to create nice images. Both shots are from my August trip to Sicily in 2010.

There was something right about the skin tones of the D 1-X. Only the Fuji S2-Pro did better. The Nikkor 35-135 F 3.5-4.5 was used.
