Study Shows Increased demand for with Wi-Fi enabled cameras

The last few years have shown that what we usually think of what a camera should be has changed. A lot of evolution in the digital camera world has occurred. We now have smart phones competing with cameras that are helping to drive innovation; especially in point-n-shoots. Customers love these changes, and  expect them from their digital cameras.

Now Market Insight Corporation has revealed that in a survey  more customers than ever are looking for Wi-Fi in their digital cameras - 7.9%. It's a number that's been growing steadily, quarter over quarter. This time last year, we were only at 5.5%.

The brands that were most associated with Wi-Fi cameras by customers were Samsung, with 17% of customers wanting the feature and Fujifilm, with 13%. Go figure.
