"New and improved" Nikon

In spite of the improvements in small cameras and smart camera phones, the camera companies are trying to keep up with the never ending "new  and improved" products that make some equipment fanatics salivate or even worse. To each his own. I have found happiness with the very portable and competent micro four thirds cameras that offer a good compromise on features, price and size.

Nikon has introduced the  D610 24MP. a full-frame DSLR. It took just a year after the D600 appeared although the D610seems to offer minor "improvements." It does sport a quiet and faster continuous shooting mode and "improved" white  These are the major changes. The D610 is basically the same camera as the D600 and, because it has the same  $2000 SRP  as the D 600 , it's  very likely that it  will replace  the older camera.    A good time to try and get a bargain on the D 600 and use the savings on a lens or even an a good meal at a nice restaurant.
