Pulling photos out of a hat

What I mean is that photos are all over and a scene that normally can and really is not pretty, with the proper light, composition and post editing, can become acceptable or even pretty. Here we are again under the I 495 in Long Island City, Queens and this is the notorious Newtown Creek a polluted body of water that slowly is being cleaned up.
