History repeting itself

It was inevitable so it occurred.

Chinese manufacturer Yongnuo has produced basically a near-clone of Canon's by now old EF 35mm f/2, a lens that first came to the market in 1990. With a couple of minor changes (the most notable being the brand name on the front of the lens) this lens looks very similar to Canon's 25-year-old prime, but at an very cheap $115!
Many will want to see some test reports on it's optical qualities. We must bare in mind  that if it's too good to be true, it probably is. We shall see. But people  were resistant to Japanese products initially and as they say the rest is history.
