A Sad Time for Steve's Digicams - Steve's Founder Dies at 64

Steve-Sanders.jpgIt is with a heavy heart that we inform our readers that the founder of Steve's Digicams, Steve Sanders, passed away recently at the age of 64.

Steve started this website back in 1997, which he almost single-handedly built over the years into one of the top digital camera review sites on the internet. Steve was never after the almighty dollar, rather he wanted to share his passion for photography and electronics with others, in hope to inspire them to take up the hobby for themselves; or at the very least help them take better photos with their new digital cameras.

Steve's Digicams grew into one of the top websites on the internet for digital camera reviews and information, with Steve and his small staff reviewing hundreds of cameras each year, along with printers and other accessories. Our motto has and always will be, "The Consumers Best Source for Digital Camera News and Information". We will continue on in his honor, striving to offer the best information and news about digital photography as the world of photography and videography grows and evolves.

Steve was a very inspiring person. What most folks don't know is that Steve was bound to a wheelchair for most of his life, due to a motorcycle accident in his mid-20s that left him paralyzed from the waist down. Which, over the course of many years, led to him becoming a quadriplegic. The amount of work this man could do in a day, despite his handicap, was awe-inspiring, with many often referring to him as a "one-man army". His infectious personality will be truly missed by the staff here at Steve's, as well as his close friends and family.
