The classic farmers' market

This time of the year is the perfect time to visit the farmers' market in Corvallis, Oregon. The season starts earlier than in the north east and the berries are absolutely phenomenal along with the vegetables that are divine. It makes you forget the long rainy season. Corvallis is a really a wonderful place.

This large bird seems to appear in our neighborhood in Queens at this time every year. It's actually somewhat scary and a danger to small animals. The photo with the squirrel is very telling.
