Along with the new Radio controller the XTR 3 you can now use TTL flash with full radio control. I have the XTR 2 and because it is infra red it is limited to line of sight and distsnce. This should go a long way to make Canon flashes more competitive with Nikon who still appear to have the edge when used as fill flash units outdoor.
