There are striking differences between the architecture of the US and the one here in the South of Italy, Whereas in the US, at least in the North the homes have many windows to take advantage of the rather weak sun, here we try to shun it as it brings additional unwanted heat. There's just too much sun here.
The traditional homes have few windows but all has an balcony. I do love the clen lines of the traditional American buildings. These are from Straudsburg, Pennsylvania,
