The calm before the storm

Coney Island at early spring time when it's still calm and quiet. This weekend the summer season starts and this beach and amusement area will be rocking. These photos were taken a few years ago with the Nikon D-200 and before hurricane sandy had a devastating effect on the beach. Things are getting back to normal.

These photos were sent to me by my wife Marcy who captured them with the G-9 Not too shabby. Actually they are great. This large bird seems to appear in our neighborhood in Queens at this time every year. It's actually somewhat scary and a danger to small animals. The photo with the squirrel is very telling. Nice job, Marcy.
